EG&G Energy Measurements, a subsidiary of EG&G, Inc. of Wellesley, Mass., has moved into its new 42,000-square-foot facility in Hacienda Business Park.
The new plant is the first phase in the eventual move of all of the company's present operations in San Ramon to the new location at Hacienda.
The second phase will add a two story, 58,000-square-foot facility at the north Pleasanton business park. No timetable has been established yet for the construction of EG&G's second phase.
The new plant at Hacienda Business Park will contain electronic engineering laboratories, cathode ray tube production and streak-tube research and development areas to provide instrumentation support to Department of Energy programs. EG&G is involved in environmental, biomedical and energy related research and equipment. The company markets high-tech electronic instruments and their components.
Under government contracts, EG&G participates in long-term engineering and site-management programs supporting the national defense and security; the nation's manned space program; and nuclear, fossil and alternative energy research and development.
