The menu features a variety of items prepared fresh daily by Chef Jeff Seapan. These include fresh pasta, fish, veal, duck, chicken, and beef dishes made with choice aged Midwestern beef, a Velvet Turtle standard. The traditional Velvet Turtle specialties, Beef Wellington and Rack of Lamb, are offered as well as exciting new dishes such as Giant Tiger Prawns Pommery, Pasta del Mare, Chicken Marsala, and Veal Piccata.
Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is casually elegant, with a sense of warmth and intimacy designed to put guests immediately at ease.
Restaurant staff are specially trained to give service that is prompt, friendly, and attentive.
In addition to atmosphere, service and top-quality food, the Velvet Turtle's approach includes special extra touches such as fresh flowers, salads tossed at the table, and chocolate· truffles presented gratis at the end of each meal.
Prices range from $8.95 to $20.50 for complete dinners including soup, salad, and fresh-baked bread, and from $4.95 to $12.95 for lunch a la carte. Sunday brunch is served from 9:30 am.
Guests are also invited to take advantage of the restaurant's full range of special party services, including a staff professionally trained in the skillful arrangement of large gatherings.
